Except for the panels of Infinite, Bliscom DracoEye works with such systems as OrionNeodigmPK – 8401, PK – 8420; DiBOSSLB-40 JXV-33.

Bliscom DracoEye does not impose a limitation on the amount of videowalls and amount of the videowall modules. Existent limitations are dictated by IBM-compatible computers architecture and realization of the videowall modules. For example, maximal theoretical amount of panels, guided by one server will be: for MIS-4210 -  64770 panels (255 COM-ports and 254 panels on one COM-port), for MIS-4220 - 25245 (255 COM-ports and 100 panels on one COM-port). It is necessary to take into account that in practice with large videowalls there will be management signal fading problems with which it is possible to fight with help of splitters and repeaters.

Вопрос: What is «serial device server» and how this device is related to work of DracoEye?

Under serial device server usually imply a device, providing a computer by more serial ports. These can be internal or external multiport serial adapters, servers of serial ports. In case if plasma videowall modules management is made on a serial interface (for example, RS-232), to one port of computer it is possible to connect the limited amount of the modules. Using the dilators of serial ports it is possible to obtain connecting more videowall modules. Also, in the case of the use of external servers of serial ports, it is possible to collect possibility of considerable videowall modules delete from a control computer, overcoming with this limit on management cable RS-232 length.

Bliscom DracoEye, as well as other applications, does not work with serial device servers directly. Task of any serial device server is to provide the computer operating system with several successive ports which are accessible for the application programs, in particular for DracoEye. If the serial device server correctly realizes driver of serial ports and in full supports work with them – Bliscom DracoEye will work.

Вопрос: How can be DracoEye setted up with COM-port compander?

First of all it is necessary to install COM-port compander according to instruction, install drivers and set up accordance of it's physical ports with logical ports in operation system. No additional settings in DracoEye should be done. Installed logical ports can be used in videowall configuration the same way as usual.

Вопрос: I have a videowall, which consists of 4 panels, computer with COM-port and installed DracoEye. How can I turn this videowall on as quick and as easy as possible? (I need «Quick Start Guide»).

First you have to realize commutation and set up unique videowall modules identifiers. Start BliscomDracoEye and create configuration, according to your videowall (for example 2x2). Ensure that identifiers and ports in configuration concure with real commutation. After this you have to push button «Connect», wait till end of panels inquiry, select all panels and press On button. Set up correct videosignal source.

Вопрос: With DracoEye help, I try to turn videowall on, but it doesn't turns on. What this can be? How can this be corrected?

Situations, when panels are physically turned off and when they are turned on but there no video on them, are different. In the second variant visually it seems that videowall is not turned on, but in real it reflects black colour. Pay attention to panels status in DracoEye. If this status is «On» – probably videosignal is absent or incorrect source were poined. If this status is «No answer» – probably  panel is not turned on or there are problems with controlling signal quality. In this case you have to make colour test on tab "Additional". If after this panels doesn't show colour - it is turned off.

If videowalls are off after turning on, you have to check next:

First, ensure that videowall modules are connected to circuit and are ready (live LEDs on the back of panel).

Second, check if controlling cord is connected (for example, RS-232), if all devices, which are necessary to transfer signals, are turned on.

Third, check if videowall configuration in Draco Eye is set up correctly, does it corresponds to real configuration. Ensure that ports are physically connected to modules with corresponding identifiers.

If client-server version of DracoEye is used, ensure that you are connected to server.

Вопрос: Videowall is turned on (lighting and coolers are working), but nothing shows. Why? How this can be corrected?

Most likely this is connected with videosignal absence. You have to ensure that videosignal exists on the videowall modules input and it is selected as source. Also you have to set up «Display» on «Additional» tab. Zero values of any representation parameters (contrast, brightness, RGB etc.) can be one more reason.

Вопрос: What is «colorimeter»? How this device is connected with DracoEye work?

Colorimeter is a device to measure colour  in any colour scale. Every videowall module has it's own physical parameters, influencing on colour rendition, so there is a problem of colour rendition discontinuity in modules. This can be removed by exact colour rendition tuning for separate videowall modules. Bliscom DracoEye supports with several colorimeter models, which lets it to receive colour parameters of videowall module. You have to connect colorimeter to computer, start DracoEye and follow instructions.

Now Bliscom DracoEye supports colorimeters made by Konica Minolta: CA-100, CA-100Plus, CA-210.

These versions differ from each other with the number of panels, videowalls and COM-ports, existence of remote administration, software and hardware protection and prices. All this is reflected in next table:

Вопрос: I try to torn on/off videowall, but panels turns on/off one by one (not all in one time). Why? How can I change this?

Bliscom DracoEye provides pauses between videowall modules turning on/off. It is necessary because in moment of turning on every videowall module uses a lot of energy, much more that nominal. As a result there is a slump of voltage, which influence on all other videowall modules and can summon their abnormal turning off. Also this is necessary if videowall is connected to UPS. Simultaneous turning on of all videowall modules can make UPS overload even till it's breakage. DracoEye doesn't let to turn on/off videowall modules with interval less than 500 ms.

Вопрос: What are buttons «Reset», «Load», «Save», «Send», «Receive» on tab «Additional» doing?

Most instruments on tab «Additional» are used in official aims and are assigned to experienced users. Button «Reset» resets videowall module settings to shop-built. Buttons «Load» and «Save» accordingly saves panels settings in memory and loads them from memory. Button «Send» is used to move all configuration file settings to videowall module, and «Receive» – reads all settings from module, which let to save correct configuration file.

Вопрос: What is «Studio-mode»?

Mode «Studio-mode» appeared in plasma modules InfiniteMIS-4220. This mode contains ready settings kit of white balance with lower colour temperature. Use this mode to change videowall colour temperature instantly.

Вопрос: On what Pocket PC can be DracoEye client installed? How should server be set up in this case?

Bliscom DracoEye Mobile is an addition to Bliscom DracoEye. Program is designed for quick videowall  administration with the help of Pocket PC connected to local network (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi ) of workstation where Standard or Professional version of Bliscom DracoEye is installed already. Main requirements to Pocket PC are: operating system WindowsCE 5.0 or WindowsMobile 5.0, existence of free memory nor less than 10Mb, size of RAM - not less than 32Mb, existence of Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, touch display with resolution not less than 320х240.

Вопрос: What does it means fields «Success» and «Failed» in status bar? What do I have to to if value of field «Failed» is not zero?

Status bar contains additional information about what happens  with program now. Most operations made by operator are sending commands to videowall modules. In field «Success» you can see number of successful commands. In field «Failed» you can see number of commands, which were not fulfilled or fulfilled with errors. Usually all commands are fulfilled successfully. A few number of failed commands existence can authenticate that some modules do not support some commands or there can be problems with controlling signal quality between server and videowall.

Вопрос: Why some settings on some tabs are not available?

For different types of panels and different types of input signals there are different kits of settings, which depends on output. DracoEye makes  inaccessible settings which have no sense in current model or mode.

Вопрос: What is "protection from burning" and what is it needed for? How it is realized in DracoEye ?

Plasma modules has «memory effect», which appears after long presentation of static picture on videowall. In Bliscom DracoEye there is an option of «memory effect»  protection with the help of special master. In this mode system reminds operator about necessity to start master to correct consequences of videowall «memory effect».
